Most wedges are a single block of firm foam. That is why so many of them feel like sleeping on a board, and why people give up on them by the second night.

This one is built in two layers. A softer memory foam comfort layer on top, so the surface gives where your shoulder and hip press into it. A firm high-density support core underneath, so the angle stays exactly where you set it, all night, every night.

Foam holds heat. A sealed cover makes it worse. The Shacked Up Incline Pillow is wrapped in a quilted air-layer knit, a breathable hotel-quality fabric with an open structure that lets warmth move out instead of building up underneath you.

It unzips completely and goes in the machine on cold. Tumble dry low, put it back on. That is the whole routine.

It does not stay in the bedroom

There is a sewn-in carry handle on the side, so it moves with you. Bed to sofa to reading chair to the floor in front of the TV.

Before your first night: give it two hours

The Incline Pillow ships vacuum compressed so it arrives in a manageable box instead of a refrigerator-sized one. When you unpack it, it will look flat. That is normal.

Cut the plastic away, lay it somewhere open, and leave it alone for about two hours. It expands to full shape on its own. Unbox it in the morning and it is ready for that night. There may be a faint new-foam scent for the first day or so, which airs out on its own.

Questions people ask

Is it firm or soft?
Both, deliberately. The top layer is memory foam and gives under pressure. The core underneath is firm and does not. If you have tried a cheap single-density wedge and found it unbearable, this is the difference you were missing.

How wide is it, really?
19.7 inches. That is narrower than the 24 and 31 inch slabs sold as hospital-style wedges, and that is on purpose. Those do not move once you put them down. This one has a handle and goes wherever you are. If you specifically want something that spans most of the width of a bed and stays there permanently, this is not that product, and we would rather tell you now.

Can I use it on my side, not just my back?
Yes. The memory foam top layer is there for exactly this reason, so your shoulder has somewhere to sink instead of being propped on a hard edge.

Do I still use my normal pillow?
Most people do, laid on top near the high end. The Incline Pillow supports your back and shoulders. Your regular pillow handles your head.

Will it slide around?
The base is dotted with silicone grip points that hold onto a fitted sheet. It stays where you put it.

Can I wash it?
The cover, yes. Unzip it, machine wash cold, tumble dry low. Do not wash or soak the foam core itself.

Will it flatten out over time?
The support core is high-density foam, chosen specifically because it holds its shape rather than packing down the way a stuffed pillow does.
