Shacked Up Cooling Comforter
Shacked Up Cooling Comforter

Cool the second you slip in, on both sides, in a summer weight that never packs the heat in on top of you. For warm nights, night sweats, and staying covered without cooking. Not a cooling blanket that feels cold for five minutes and then turns into a regular blanket.
Most comforters hold your heat in. This one lets it out.
A blanket only feels cool while it is cooler than you are. Once it takes on your body heat, the cool feeling is gone. And a thick comforter then holds that heat against your skin, which is why you wake up at 2am and kick the whole thing off the bed.
This one is built the other way around. A fine, smooth surface moves heat off your skin the moment you touch it. The summer weight is light enough that the heat has somewhere to go instead of building up underneath. And because both faces are the same, a fresh cool side is always one flip away.
TYPICAL cooling blanket
Cools for a minute. Then it traps.
One cool face and a heavy fill. It feels cold for the first few minutes, then it soaks up your body heat, holds it against you, and you are kicking it off by 2am.
The Shacked Up comforter
Cool on contact. Fresh on both sides.
A fine cool-touch weave in a light summer weight, so your heat moves away instead of building up. Fully reversible, so a fresh cool side is always one flip away.
However you sleep hot, it meets you there.
Warm nights
Covered, without the heat
Stay under a blanket the way you like to, on the nights that used to make that impossible.
Night sweats
A cool side within reach
You wake up at 3am and the sheets are soaked. This will not stop that. What it gives you is a cool side to reach for, without getting up, without changing anything.
Everything else
Light enough to live with
A summer layer over your duvet, a throw for the couch, a guest bed that stays comfortable in August.

Good to know
Does it stay cool all night, or only for the first few minutes?
Any fabric warms up once it takes on your body heat. That is true of every blanket ever made. Two things change the outcome here. The summer weight is light, so your heat can leave instead of collecting under a thick fill. And both faces carry the same cool-touch surface, so there is always a fresh cool side to flip to.
What gives it the cool feel?
The weave. A fine, smooth, high-density surface moves heat away from your skin on contact. That is what cool to the touch actually means. It is the fabric, not a motor, so it pairs well with a fan or an air-conditioned room on the warmest nights.
Why polyester and not cotton or bamboo?
Because cotton is a poor conductor of heat. Its fibers are fluffy and full of trapped air, which is exactly what you want in January and exactly what you do not want in July. Heat sits on the surface instead of moving away, so cotton feels warm against your skin. The cool feel here comes from the opposite construction: fibers spun fine and woven smooth and dense, so the surface carries heat off your skin the moment you touch it. It is not about which fiber sounds more natural. It is about which surface moves heat.
Will it work without air conditioning?
It still feels cool when you get in, and it will not press heat into you the way a heavy comforter does. It is at its best with airflow. A cracked window and a fan is enough.
I get night sweats. Will this help?
We will be straight with you about what this is. A comforter cannot stop a hot flash, and anyone selling you one that claims it can is not being honest. What it can do is change what you are lying under when one hits. A light layer instead of a heavy one, so heat is not being held against you. A cool surface instead of a warm one. And a second cool side to flip to, so you are not getting out of bed to find relief.
Is it safe for sensitive skin and kids?
Yes. It is certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 and hypoallergenic, independently tested free of harmful substances.
Will my pet's hair stick to it?
The fine fibers are designed to resist clinging hair, which makes it a strong pick for homes with a dog or a cat on the bed.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry low. No bleach.

This is a comfort product, not a cooling device. It has no motor, no water, and no power source. The cool feel comes from the fabric itself and is at its best with airflow, in a fan-cooled or air-conditioned room. It does not lower room temperature and is not air conditioning. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Individual comfort experiences vary.
